The
concept: Plug-and-Go
Instalation of
i-soamp amplifiers and
Auxgate® multimedia extensions
i-sotec Plug-and-Go stands for sound tuning without drilling
or
sawing. With an i-soamp connected to your car audio system, you get 100
percent more music in 20 minutes. Neither special tools nor
technical knowledge are needed.
On this page you can see how
easy
it is to connect an i-soamp to a car radio with standard ISO connectors
thanks to i-sotec's Plug-and-Go concept.
 | 1.
Get the radio out.
First, you remove the car radio from it's slot. Usually, this is done
by inserting two pins, usually supplied with the radio, in the
corresponding holes, so the radio can be pulled out easily. If in
doubt, seee your radio's manual for details. |
2.
Disconnect and re-connect the cables. The car radio is
connected to the car's power supply and the loudspeakers via ISO-connectors at the
backside. Disconnect them, so you can simply plug the i-soamp cable
harness between.
All plugs and receptacles at the i-soamp cable harness
exactly
fit their counterparts at the radio and the car's cable
harness, safe of mixing up or voltage reversal. For an
overview of
the connection principle, click here.
If
your car and/or your factory radio has manufacturer-specific
connectors instead of ISO, you can still easily connect an i-soamp,
thanks to i-sotec offering adapters for
more than 500 car types.

 | 3.
Hide the amplifier
As soon as the radio is put back in it's slot, you only have to place
the i-soamp at a safe, not too heat-sensitive place in the car - e.g.
beneath the passenger seat - choose one of the three operation modes (four
channel ampplifiers) and connect the (optional) subwoofer
with just one cable. |
4.
Place the subwooferi-sotec subwooofers find their place in
any car. No matter if you choose the universal wedge housing CompactSub
(as pictured), the spare wheel subwoofer i-sosub
or one of our custom-tailored car-specific
subwoofers - no space is wasted; the boot stays usuable.

 |
 | 3.
Connect the subwooferOne
Cable - as you know it, with a mix-up- and voltage-reversal-safe
connector - is all you need to connect an i-sotec subwoofer to the
i-soamp.
You're done! |
